Role Overview
The Impact Measurement Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive system that measures how ckingknowledge Institute programs impact students and families.
This role will build from scratch the tools, surveys, reporting systems, and documentation processes needed to measure growth in:

Identity development and self-belief
This position begins as a volunteer role and transitions to a paid role once sufficient revenue is generated through parents and/or grants. The long-term expectation is that this role becomes full-time as revenue grows.

Startup Environment Expectations
The ckingknowledge Institute operates in a startup environment, which means:

No reminders are provided to complete work. Individuals must be self-motivated, execute work without supervision, and communicate immediately if expectations or timelines change.

Functions and processes are not yet documented. Each team member is expected to:
-
Document the procedures and steps they use to perform their role
-
Ensure work can be repeated consistently at a high level of quality
-
Continuously improve and evolve documentation
-
Create materials that can be used to train future team members or successors
-
Integrity, accountability, and proactive communication are essential.

Compensation Structure

Initial role: Volunteer
-
Becomes paid once revenue from parents and/or grants is sufficient
-
Expected to evolve into a full-time role as the Institute scales

Core Responsibilities
​1. Design & Implement Impact Measurement System
-
Build a comprehensive evaluation framework from scratch
-
Define measurable indicators of student growth and transformation
-
Align metrics with the Institute’s mission and long-term vision

2. Survey & Data Collection Development
Design and implement structured survey systems for:
-
Students
-
Daily check-ins
-
Beginning-of-program surveys
-
End-of-program surveys
-
-
Parents
-
Weekly surveys
-
Longitudinal feedback tracking student development
-
Surveys must measure:
-
Confidence in engineering/science pathways
-
Emotional resilience
-
Self-efficacy
-
Identity development
-
Problem-solving ability
-
Perceived agency and future outlook

3. Interviews & Qualitative Data
-
Conduct structured interviews with students and parents
-
Analyze narrative feedback
-
Identify trends and transformational stories
​
4. Data Infrastructure & Reporting
-
Build data collection processes and clear written instructions for:
-
Staff
-
Students
-
Parents
-
-
Ensure all data is properly stored and organized in systems such as:
-
Google Workspace (Sheets)
-
Microsoft Excel
-
Or another structured database platform
-

Develop reporting dashboards and summaries that:

Show weekly student growth
-
Track long-term change
-
Demonstrate impact for grant reporting

Inform strategic decisions
-

5. Continuous Improvement

Analyze collected data

Recommend program improvements

Help leadership make data-driven decisions

Required Qualifications
-
Strong analytical and systems-thinking ability
-
Experience designing surveys, assessments, or evaluation frameworks
-
Ability to translate mission-driven goals into measurable metrics
-
Strong written communication skills
-
Comfort working with spreadsheets and structured data systems
-
Ability to work independently without supervision or reminders
-
Commitment to documentation and procedural clarity

Background Check required
Preferred (but not required):

Background in education research, social sciences, nonprofit evaluation, or program management

Experience with impact measurement or grant reporting
