9 Years of History

2016-2017

Clair, Gabriel, Sariah, Violet, Allen, and Ava participated in F.I.R.S.T. LEGO League Jr (FLL Jr) Creature Craze Adventure and competed at Birmingham High School’s Expo.

2017-2018

Violet and Ava participated in F.I.R.S.T. LEGO League Jr (FLL Jr) Aqua Adventure

2018-2019

Violet, Ava, Maliyah, and Insiyah participated in F.I.R.S.T. LEGO League Jr (FLL Jr) Space Exploration Adventure and competed at NSBE Annual Convention FLL Jr Expo in Detroit and at Cow Town Expo.

Trophy awarded : Innovative Programming Award

2019-2020

Violet, Josephine, Ava, Nia, and Heidi participated in VEX IQ Robotics Competition (VIQRC) tournaments at Nissan Technical Center in Novi, MI and at Monroe County Community College. 4th place out of 30+ teams in both tournaments and won a trophy as a rookie team.

2020-2021

Violet and Ava built their robot for upcoming VEX IQ Robotics Competition (VIQRC) season on ckingknowledge Institute's Robots & Coding Competition Team; just in case they would not be cancelled by COVID. They built their first practice field, used the engineering process to iterate the design of their robot, and increased the amount of points their robot could score.

2021-2022

Violet attended three in-person tournaments during this VEX IQ Robotics Competition (VIQRC) season on ckingknowledge Institute's Robots & Coding Competition Team season.

ckingknowledge Institute delivers Robotics Camp to the school in Detroit: High Achievers Montessori Learning Center

2022 - 2023

Jacob and Violet attended five in-person tournaments during this VEX IQ Robotics Competition (VIQRC) season on ckingknowledge Institute's Robots & Coding Competition Team

2022 - 2023

15 students from J.E. Clark Preparatory Academy's Middle School of Detroit Public Schools attended two in-person tournaments this VEX IQ Robotics Competition (VIQRC) season, won a trophy as a rookie team, and made history as the first ever middle school robotics competition team in Detroit Public Schools.
